This Masterclass focuses on the topic of emulsions; choosing the right emulsifier and the right lipids, as well as the production and formulation of emulsions.

Description

Emulsions are arguably the most exciting and fascinating thing cosmetics has to offer. Water and oil usually don't mix, yet if you manage to fuse them, you create one of the most effective care products of all. Furthermore, you can incorporate both water-soluble and oil-soluble substances. It is actually a miracle - but it takes a fair amount of knowledge for this miracle to succeed!

In these Masterclass units, we want to get to the bottom of the mysteries of emulsions. Or could you already answer the following questions?

• What does it depend on whether an oil-in-water or a water-in-oil emulsion is formed?
• What does it depend on whether an emulsion becomes thick or thin?
• How much oil should a rich or a light cream contain?
• Which emulsifier is the right one?
• What do I do to stop my creams from separating?

Many people are often afraid to stir emulsions because they think it is too complex. Yes, it is complex, but not so complex that it won't work. After this course, you will feel more confident and experiment more.

• 2.5 to 3 hours (incl. 10-minute break)
• plenty of time for YOUR questions

• Live and online via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent to you in a separate email 24 hours before the Masterclass. Please also check your spam folder.
• The Masterclass recording will be available to you as "video on demand" for 12 months. The link will be sent to you within 3 days after the session.
• We recommend booking the Masterclass Compact, as parts of the content are progressive. However, each Masterclass can also be booked individually.

 

Preparation

• Pens (preferably 4 colors), notepad, or digital tools for your notes
• good internet connection
• Please check your microphone (headset) and camera functionality before the start of the Masterclass. You can ask your questions live and in person directly in the online course.
• For better functionality, we recommend installing the free Zoom app on your computer/tablet or mobile phone. However, this is not strictly necessary. You can find the download here.
