Characteristics

A special lipid with slight water-binding capacity. It gives all oil-containing products good spreadability and a uniquely soft skin feel along with skin-protecting properties. A plus for any formulation.

Lipoblend Hydrosoft is a relatively thick, delicately golden oil that forms small pockets in emulsions due to its special molecular estolide structure, which can bind water. This leads to long-lasting moisture retention in the skin, paired with protection against transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Even 3% of the substance significantly increases skin barrier function, elasticity, and the skin's resilience for up to 8 hours.

Furthermore, Lipoblend Hydrosoft gives formulations a uniquely soft skin feel for a very long time, similar to certain silicone oils. If you want to increase the spreadability of a product ("playtime"), Lipoblend Hydrosoft is the perfect choice - e.g., in body lotions or massage oils. It even exerts this effect in the presence of "dragging" additives such as shea butter or fatty alcohols (cetyl alcohol).

In hair care products, it noticeably increases combability, has a conditioning effect on the hair structure, adds suppleness, and, on top of that, puts other shine products in the shade.
