Frankincense oil is obtained from the resin of the olibanum tree via steam distillation. It has always held traditional, religious significance - e.g., as incense. However, its nourishing and therapeutic properties should also not be overlooked. The boswellic acids it contains have an anti-inflammatory effect and are also used in anti-aging skincare products. Irritated skin, in particular, benefits from the effects of frankincense oil.
This particular variety of frankincense is especially skin-friendly and is suitable for cosmetic products and therapeutic applications, as it can be used safely even in higher concentrations!
