Characteristics

Olifeel Pearls (Olibond) are processed like waxes and are therefore the perfect alternative or supplement to waxes. It improves the application behavior and skin feel.

Olifeel Pearls (Olibond) are based on saturated fatty acids from olive oil and are comparable to a hard, colorless, and odorless wax - but feel less "waxy." They are obtained from residues of olive oil production in Italy. These are non-edible parts, meaning they do not compete with food production.

Less energy is consumed during production, as Olifeel Pearls (Olibond) are not chemically hardened like other comparable products. Furthermore, they contain a portion of unsaponifiables, thereby providing antioxidant, nourishing, and skin-protecting properties.

Depending on the oils used, Olifeel Pearls (Olibond) impart more viscosity to your product. For example, it thickens vegetable oils more strongly than MCT oil or esters. Appealing oil gels can be created with as little as 5 - 10% Olifeel Pearls (Olibond). 20% usually results in ointment-like products or balms. Experiment with different usage concentrations and oil blends to create your individual product!

In addition to better sensory properties, a smoother product consistency is another advantage over waxes. It does not tend to crystallize during cooling and also prevents this in combination with real waxes. This is particularly an advantage when the product cannot be stirred while cooling, such as in lipstick products or deodorant sticks.

Do you want your make-up products to be applied and distributed as evenly as possible? Here too, Olifeel Pearls (Olibond) play to their strengths: pigments (e.g., in colored lipsticks) are distributed more evenly. Product release is also improved. Your product gains stronger coverage through Olifeel Pearls (Olibond), and the color stands out better.

 

Recommended concentration and processing

• 0.5 - 5% in emulsions (under 2.5% only provides a creamier skin feel without noticeable consistency)

• 5 - 30% in anhydrous products (sticks and balms)

• Melt in the oil phase at approx. 70 degrees
