Characteristics

This highly compatible emulsifier derived from sunflower oil is easy and flexible to handle and can be used without additional co-emulsifiers or consistency enhancers.


A balanced plant-based emulsifier blend based on sunflower oil. It forms emulsions with liquid crystal structures, thereby enabling stable emulsions with a tendency for high viscosity. At the same time, emulsions made with Emulblend Helio have a high moisturizing effect and protect the skin from moisture loss.

Depending on the usage concentration and the amount of the oil phase, different consistencies can be achieved – everything is possible, from light lotions to solid creams, without further co-emulsifiers and consistency enhancers. It is possible to create emulsions with an oil phase of up to 40% (at a 7% usage concentration of Emulblend Helio).

 

ATTENTION: Product discontinued in mid-2023! You can replace Emulblend Helio 1:1 with Emulblend Olea. The emulsions will feel only slightly lighter, but will be just as stable and consistent and provide just as much moisture.

 

Usage concentration and processing

    • 2-4% for lotions

    • 4-8% for creams

    • Melt in the oil phase at 75-80 degrees

    • for oil phases of up to 40%
