Vitamin C Serum

This serum ensures an even, radiant complexion, provides increased moisture, and counteracts premature skin aging.

Ascorbyl glucoside promotes collagen formation, evens out the complexion, and encourages clear skin. Arginine regulates the pH value and also provides intensive hydration and regeneration. Niacinamide works in synergy with vitamin C and refines pores. Hyaluronic acid and Agasilk provide extra moisture and improve the product's texture.

Instructions

Mix A1 and heat slightly until the hydroxyacetophenone is dissolved.

Add A2 and stir briefly.

Mix B1 until all ingredients are dissolved.

Measure the pH value and adjust to 6.1 - 6.5.

Add B2 and stir in.

Add B to A while stirring to prevent lumps from forming.

Let it rest for a few hours, stir carefully once more, and fill into containers.

TIP

Ascorbyl glucoside is highly water-soluble and easy to work with, but it requires a pH value higher than the typical 5–5.5 found in other cosmetic products. This is important so that it remains active over the long term and does not degrade prematurely in the product. Ascorbyl glucoside is acidic by nature and requires a significant amount of arginine to raise and stabilize the pH of the final product. It is most stable between pH 6 and 6.5, which is where the final product's pH should ideally be.
