However, it is identical to synthetic propylene glycol and therefore has the same properties. It feels very light on the skin and is barely sticky. Compared to other cosmetic glycols, and especially in contrast to glycerin, propylene glycol is much lighter and exhibits very low stickiness.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePropylene glycol is excellently water-soluble but also possesses a certain potential to dissolve lipophilic substances, making it slightly surface-active (like a weak surfactant).
